Malaysia’s Ecommerce target is to double e-Commerce Growth for GDP Contribution to cross RM 211 Billion by 2020. E-Commerce plays an important role in accelerating exports and International Trade. E-commerce is gaining as one of the best marketing tools for the export community especially SME manufacturers or service providers which are looking to enter or expand in the International market.

With the launch of DFTZ, Malaysia will serve as a regional e-fulfilment centre and become the regional hub for SMEs, marketplaces and monobrands. DFTZ will be a boost to Malaysia’s e-commerce roadmap that was introduced in 2016, which aims to double Malaysia’s e-commerce growth.

Synopsis of Programme

This program describes the main elements of E-Commerce which include E-Commerce development in Malaysia, Ecommerce model and payments, E-Commerce platforms, Managing Alibaba.com, International business basics; regulations and marketing, Internet branding to various case studies.

    Trainers Profile

    Vanda Chan is a seasoned Social Media practitioner and trainer, helping businesses to improve on their social media marketing strategy and campaigns. She is proficient in social media crisis management. Vanda was the first webmaster for Nestle Malaysia and had served the company for over 10 years. Her career path as an interactive media executive in Nestle gave her valuable work experience in handling many digital campaigns and activations for brands like NESCAFE, KIT KAT, PURINA, and NESTLE DRUMSTICK.

    Vanda was a key member of Nestle’s Crisis Management Core Team and was responsible for providing Crisis Management services for all of Nestle Malaysia brands. Since 2011, she has successfully managed over 40 social media crisis situation using the world-class listening/monitoring tools such as Radian6.

    Vanda holds a Masters in Information Technology from Charles Sturt University, Australia.

    She is proficient in English, Mandarin and Bahasa Malaysia. Vanda is also certified in Google AdWords and Google Analytics. She holds an inbound Certification from HubSpot Academy and has completed the Coaching Essential program from International Society of Neuro-Semantics.

    Steven Jheng

    Steven Jheng (Alibaba accredited trainer from China). He is the General Manager of SOR Business Consulting Ltd with 17 years of international business experience. He has an audience of 100,000 in China. His average annual ecommerce sales is estimated at USD 20 million. He is also the author of two E-Commerce books namely Cross-border theory and operating and Cross-border case study.

    Steven graduated from International business from the college on 1997, since then, he has worked on the business for more than 17 years already. In his career, he has worked in the IT industry, software development, garments industry, construction material industry etc. Since 2000, he started to use Alibaba.com and other similar B2B platforms as the main tools for his businesses. Depending on the rich experience on business and the E-Commerce, he integrated the internet theory with his business to build the strong team for the branding and selling.

    Peter Feng

    Peter Feng (Alibaba.com Accredited Trainer from China) is the Owner/President of Goodwill GROUP (Commercial Info & Consulting, Foundry Ind. Factory, Int’l Trading, Consulting & Training). He is the Founder/President of Shanxi Chamber of E-Commerce. His average ecommerce sales is above 30 Million USD per year.

    Peter have been in the field of international trading for more than 27years since his graduation from international business college in 1990, and his business range and activities covered UN & UNICEF tenders, World Bank and Asian Bank supported projects, machinery, chemical, light industrial products, electronics, building & construction materials, and hardware, etc..

    In 2005 he joined the paid membership of Alibaba.com, which, through 13years operation, had already become the most effective platform for his sales and data capture. With his vast experience in E-Commerce he has contributed to the development of the Alibaba ecosystem to empower the small and medium business(SMEs), which focus on developing various practical courses and training programs for cross border e-biz SMEs.
