    Course Overview

    This course covers all aspects of international freight forwarding that includes the understanding of various carriage of goods, import and export documentations, customs procedures, shipping procedures, packaging, payment terms and operation procedures.

    With the implementation of ASEAN Economic Community (AEC), the logistics sector will be further liberalized to facilitate smoother movement of goods and services in the region. And as such there is a big demand for competent and experts in this field to meet the challenges and also to take advantage of the opportunites of the liberalised ASEAN logistc sector.


    Course Objectives

    The main objective of this course is to provide the trainees with an understanding on the internatonal freight forwarding services; packaging; various carriers used for transporting goods by air, sea, road and rail, usage of INCOTERMS, international payment methods and terms, customs and shipping documentations and the cargo insurance. They will also exposed to the various challenges faced by their company as a result of the liberalizaton of the ASEAN logistcs sector.


    Learning Outcome

    Upon completion of this course, the trainees will be able to

  • Able to select the most appropriate freight forwarding services, mode of carrier, cargo insurance and international payment methods leading to substantial cost saving for the company.
  • Able to use the appropriate INCOTERMS and handle the customs and shipping documentations effectively
  • Able to find ways to ensure the company’s competitiveness amidst the liberalizaton of the ASEAN logistics sector.

    Course Overview

    This course identfies the main principles of international marketing, and will teach the partcipants on how to use market intelligence, promotional strategies and e-marketing to market and sell their products or services globally.

    Trainees will learn to recognize the influence of culture, politcs and regulatory considerations on the internatonal market environment, how to determine target markets for their products or services, and why companies must adapt their products or services for international markets. They will also learn on how to prepare a promotional strategy and develop an international marketing plan to achieve their goals and targets.

    The main objectve of this course is to provide practical knowledge on the principles of International marketing and equip the trainees with the most appropriate international marketing strategies, tools and platorms to ensure that their companies’ products and services could successfully enter new markets or expand in existng markets.

    Course Overview

    The Professional Diploma in Export Management is an experiental learning programme that provides vocatonal training in export and international trade aimed to in-still export skills and competence in Malaysian companies which are new to the export trade or are expanding their markets. As such, it provides the essential expertise, knowledge and network needed to help businesses grow internationally.?

    As the world becomes a global marketplace, companies both small and big are growing increasingly dependent on their ability to conduct business internationally especially in developing countries whose economies are largely export-dependent. The biggest obstacle to international expansion continues to be the lack of qualified export and trade knowledge.

    This programme is recognised and supported by the Malaysian External Trade Development Corporation and the Malaysian Exporters Associaton.

    Course Overview

    This course will be covering all the key actvites involved in the planning, seting up or managing a successful export business. It also covers the A to Z of Exporting by providing special skills to handle the business of exporting in their organisaton. It starts from development of products and services for the export market, identifying markets and buyers through various sources, marketing using the various export tools including online marketing to managing secured orders and the export business. It is probably the only programme aspiring and current exporters will ever need to shorten their learning curve in this inherently risky but rewarding industry.

    It is fundamental knowledge that in order to be able to arrive at this post order stage, exporters must in the first place know exactly how to execute the pre-order actvites like the export planning, inquiries and quotatons, sales contract, product and target market selecton, market entry strategy, sales marketng, pricing and securing the export orders
